About Coast 2 Coast

Coast 2 Coast Building Control is a Corporate Approved Inspector formed in 2010 by Steve Thomas and Neil Walton who have over 50 years’ experience in the Building Control field. Both have gained experiences from both the public and private sectors.

With the success of Steve and Neil’s work, the company grew and started to take on work across the country and into the London where they employed Ian Lawrence and since then have taken on two more experienced surveyors Tugkan Dikkez and Marcel Hurst. With the extra workload and staff our admin has grown from one to four members.

We have offices strategically located to enable our surveyors to cover across England and Wales, with the head office base in Bridgend, which supports Wales and the West Country, Newark office supporting the Midlands and North England and Dartford office which supports London and South/South East England.

With modern technology the offices and surveyors are able to work and communicate well together to support the growing clientele across the country and helping to overcome some the increasing number of complex new buildings and refurbishment being designed today.

Our team work closely together in London and Bridgend

Since 2010 Coast 2 Coast have taken on an increasing number projects in both the commercial and domestic markets. The commercial sectors we work in are new build and refurbishment projects in care homes, car showrooms, multi-tier storage mezzanines systems in warehouses, office and retail. The residential sector includes new build blocks of flats along with large scale change of use projects.

Coast 2 Coast also work in partnership with fire engineers on the improvement of fire safety to existing prisons across the country by acting as consultant and advisers to help the government comply with the current Building Regulations standards by being an approved body.
